A Green Christmas

Here's the second installment on my interpretation of tptb's shift to a smaller carbon footprint during the holiday season. We're achieving this through shorter timers, using recycled materials in crafts, lower thermostats, and a ban on buying any new Christmas decorations that use electricity. Solar panel technology is getting cheaper and more portable, leading to a wider availability of solar powered Christmas decorations. Did you know an artificial Christmas tree only has a smaller carbon footprint than a live tree after 5 years of use, and that doesn't factor in a plastic footprint? More, here.
